Building Community in the Juanita Neighborhoods in Kirkland, Washington
The JNA is forever thankful to Steven Charie, the man who saved Doug Rough's life with CPR and an AED when Doug collapsed at the health club. Doug might not be with us today if it were not for the quick action of Steven Charie. We send Doug many well wishes while he recovers from his health scare. Steven Charie will be honored by the Kirkland City Council with an award at their meeting tonight, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 7:30 pm at the Kirkland City Hall. Thank you so much Steven Charie!!!
Would you like to see a flashing beacon installed along 100th Avenue NE between Juanita Village and NE 124th Street? Whether you walk, drive, bike, or ride through this area, installing a new rapid flash beacon (RFB) for this crosswalk will help improve safety for our neighborhood!
This is being proposed by our neighborhood under the Neighborhood Safety Program. An application is being prepared now and one key element of this application is community input and support. The higher the level of support, the more likely this project will be funded!
If you have any comments or would like to have your name listed in support of this project, please email Brian Magee (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Saturday, January 28th.
Thank you for your interest in improving the safety of our neighborhood!
