The Juanita Neighborhoods Association would like to invite our community to join us in the dedication of two new interpretive signs on October 17, 2016.
Two new interpretive signs will be presented with a ceremony on the Juanita Bay pedestrian bridge on October 17, at 3:00pm at the north end of the bridge. Eastside Audubon will present “Dining on the Bay” depicting the feast nature provides to the birds of Juanita Bay. The sign features original art work and design by Julie Selan. The Juanita Neighborhoods Association will present “Juanita in the 40’s and 50’s” telling the story of this lively and prosperous community during these two decades. This is the seventh in a series of historical interpretive signs preserving Juanita history provided by The Juanita Neighborhoods Association. Descendants of this historical period will be present. Both signs are the result of funds from the Kirkland Neighborhood grant program, donations to Eastside Audubon, the resources of Kirkland Heritage Society and many volunteer hours.
